One of the 2013 Christmas eight. Marti the springer spaniel came to KWK9 on Christmas Eve as his owner had to rehome him due to allergies of a child in the house. He was duly picked up by his fosterers and had a lovely Christmas with them so lovely in fact they have decided to welcome him into their family! He will have a super life with them and is one lucky dog.

Terry was a stray in the council kennels. After his seven days in kennels he went to his foster home for Christmas and immediately found a new home. He has gone off to his new life on the Isle of Lewis.
Another early January home found for lovely Milo. He has gone to a lovely home in the countryside where he is getting plenty of exercise and fun.
Another lucky dog off to his new home with a great pal. Louis only spent a very short time in foster care before going off to his new home.
This lovely pup really flew in and out again. He came to us one evening and went off to his new family next morning. Great for him, keeping the disruption to a minimum.
Pippin now Ollie the last of the 3 JRT pups who came into our care just before christmas has gone to a lovely new home where he will enjoy summers caravanning with his new dad and mum.
Little Morag was really worried when she left her foster home and went off in a car but she later arrived in her lovely new home and is settling very well with her new family and her new doggie friend.
Jake quickly found his new home. We hope he now has a long and settled life.
Lucky little Lady has gone off to her new home today where she is going to be treated like the lady she is. She went off in the car sitting on her new fluffy cushion looking like she was born to such treatment.

Bailey came in and went out again to her forever home in record time. she has gone to live in the country with a big sister who was a former kwk9er to look after her
Sandy the border collie arrived into kwk9's care in a sorrowful state we dont think he had been groomed in his life as his coat was so matted. With a bit of tlc he soon went on to find a super new home in the country after being neutered and microchiped. this photo was taken on the day he arrived into the kennels and we will update shortly with a photo of him happy and well groomed once he has his buster collar removed after his op
poor little sparky the elderly yorkshire terrier sadly had to be put to sleep shortly after being signed over to kwk9. He had a lovely few days with his foster family but unfortunately what we originally thought to be a uti turned out to be an inoperable tumour on his bladder. We take some comfort from the fact that we did our absolute best for him and his passing was a gentle one and he is now free from pain.
Having come into our care just before Christmas it seemed to take a long time to get Gypsy into her new home. However she has finally gone and becomes the first dog homed this February. We wish her a long, happy and secure life in her new home.
This lovely old boy never made it to the dogs needing homes page. He spent a short time in foster care and has now gone to his new home. Lucky boy.
Hollie never made it as far as the 'dogs needing homes' page. She came in for a weekend in foster care and went off to her new home very quickly. She hates cars so will be delighted to be going where there are very few.
Jake the yorkie came in to kwk9 due to a change in circumstances with his owner. This lucky boy did not require to be advertised as we knew he was just what a certain couple were looking for! so he went on trial for a few days and we recieved the phone call to say that they loved him so the deal was settled. He was quickly microchipped and booked in for his vaccinations.
This poorly pup arrived as a stray who needed lots of TLC and we knew just where he would find it! Lucky pup has found himself a brilliant new home where his big sis Katie a former kwk9er will be there to make sure he settles in and learns the ropes
Toby has gone off to his new home in the country today. He is the first dog homed in March, getting in on the first day. Hoping he has a long and happy life in his new home.
This poor dog had spent around eight years in awful conditions until a kind lady fostered him. He came to one of our foster homes and then within a few days was off to a new home where he is thriving. Even in 24 hours there is a marked difference in him. Lets hope he has many comfortable, warm and well fed years in his new home.
This little guy never got as far as the dogs needing homes page. He spent a brief time in foster care and then went off to his new home with someone who had been waiting a while for a dog. He is quite a character and I'm sure will get his new owner trained quite quickly.
Young Fin has gone off to his new home where he has been promised lots of walks and running with his new owner. Lucky boy, he should have a great time.
This dog didn't even get as far as a name or picture! We had received an application form requesting a young dog. The next day received a request to find a home for a young Springer x Cocker Spaniel. We managed to match both families thanks to one of our foster carers and the dog is off to her new home.
Here we are April already and this was our forst dog homed this month. Ava went off to her new home without a backward glance. She has a new family who have promised her a secure and loving home for life.
Ozzie had a long car journey to his new home. We hope he has a long and happy life in his new home with his new owners.

This young dog had a very short time in our care. He was in and out within 24 hours. He has gone to a new home in the country which he is pleased about as he hates noisy cars and lorries.

Here we are in May already and our first dog homed this month is Jada. After a rocky start to her life Jada has found a new home with a lovely couple in their new home with their other dogs. What a lucky girl. Lets hope the rest of her life will be secure and happy.
First of the six pups to find a home is Roxy. This lovely girl has gone to share a home with another greyhound so she won't be lonely. Lets hope she has a long and happy life.
Seamus has been adopted into his foster home by his ex KWK9 friends Sandi and Rosie.
Bud came in and was provisionally booked before he arrived! A lovely wee chap who we are sure will do well in his new home.
Quincy spent a few days in foster care before moving to his new home with 5 other dogs. He quickly found a sofa to lay claim to.

Sami hardly got her paws under the table at her foster home before she was off home. Due to a family break up Sami found herself being passed on unknown to her 'mum'. Her picture was seen on facebook and the result was a very happy reunion and a trip home for Sami.
Jinty had a long wait for her forever home to come along. She was cared for by Rose and Kim for months and then her new home turned up and off she went. She will have had a long trip to her new home but we hope she will be settled for life now. Good Luck Jinty.
Ringo came and went so fast he never made it to the dogs needing homes page. This lovely young labrador had a queue of people wanting him so he was in a foster home for a very short time before going to his new home.
A delightful young GSD Sansa went into a foster home where she stole everyone's hearts and will not be leaving. Another failed fosterer!
This lovely lad came into our care on Friday and went off to his new home on Sunday. What a lucky lad he is. He has gone to live with a family of other dogs and will have a super time and never have to worry again.
Bella has gone off to her new home today after all these months looking a lovely home came along for her with 2 other dogs. She will be much missed by her previous owner but has a super home to go to and will be having a good time.
A great start to July, after a long time in foster care Robbie has gone off to his new home today. He had a rough time before he came to us so we hope all that is behind him now and he will have a secure and loving home for life. Good luck Robbie.
The lovely Ted came in as a bit of an emergency and quickly found himself a foster home with a GSD sized space in front of the fire, following a sad loss a few weeks earlier. Delighted to say that he helped to fill the gap and has found himself a lovely home in the process.
Lovely Bobby was the last of the 6 greyhound pup to go to his new home. It took a while but he found the right people to offer him a home and off he went. He will be missed by his foster family but everyone was delighted to see him going to a lovely home. Good luck Bobby.
Romeo just got his paws under the table with his foster family when he went off to his new home with a lovely family and their other dog. He is in for a lovely life so good luck Romeo.
Millie was Romeos little sister and she too has found her forever family living with Lucy a former kwk9 lurcher. They didnt know they needed her until they were persuaded to meet her lol, no wonder she is smiling she didnt even have to be advertised!
Shiloh has finally found himself a collie paradise and will have 3 lovely collie girls to keep him out of mischief and teach him the ropes.
Cassie was a failed sheep dog. She came to us during the afternoon on 22 July and went to her foster home a terrified and defensive little scrap. She found a Cassie sized gap in her foster mum's home and by 23 July she had a permanent home where she will get all the love she desires.
Dear Poppy was a very sad little dog when she returned to our care due to the ill health of her owner. She very quickly cheered up though and went off to her lovely new home very quickly.
This beautiful dog came into our care and very quickly found her new home. She was only in foster care for 1 day before setting off on her journey to her new family. We are sure she will have a lovely time and be secure for life.
First dog rehomed in August was Riley the lovely terrier. Off to his new home we hope he has a lovely life.
Meg is a lovely collie that we were asked to find a home for. It happened that we knew of a collie sized gap in a lovely home so Meg came to us and went off very quickly. Lucky girl, she has a loving and caring home for life now.
We knew that there would be a lot of interest in Murphy and we were right. He had lots of offers and went off to his new home where he will have plenty of space, a doggy friend and a boy of his very own to grow up with. Have a lovely life Murphy.
Spider is off soon to his new home where we hope all will work out for him. He does still have a home with his previous owners so either way he will be safe and secure.
Gypsy came in as a stray and was spotted whist still in the council kennels so moved to her forever home as soon as her 7 days were up.
Meg has gone off to her new home today. We hope she will have a lovely time in her country home and we will soon see a new slim and healthy dog.
Lewis has gone to his new home today. Our first dog homed in September we hope he is going to have a wonderful life and enjoy many years in his forever home.
This lucky lad came to us from 2 failed homes. It turned out that he had limited hearing and some sight problems so it was no wonder he wasn't responding well to his owners. He found a lovely home with understanding and experienced owners who are ready to work with him to overcome these difficulties. Good luck Finn.
Lovely Poppy went off to her new home having spent a short time in a foster home. During that time she won a red rosette at the KWK9 show. What a star she is.
Tara the lovely black lurcher pup set sail to her new life this morning and we are sure she will have lots of other kwk9ers to welcome her home and a great new life ahead of her on Orkney. Our first rehomed dog in October.
Brinkie has gone off to his new home today. A bit of a journey for him across to the mainland and then a way down the road but we hope he has a lovely life in his new home.

This nice little JRT spent his 7 days in the council kennels having been a stray. As he was not claimed he was signed over to us and went to a foster home for just 3 days before he went off to his new home in the countryside. Good luck Robbie.

This lovely girl was in the council kennels for 7 days having been found as a stray. Once she was handed over to us she went straight off to her new home with two other lovely dogs. We hope she has a lovely life now.
A good start to November sees Lassie off to her new home. Such a very pretty girl was never going to wait long and we had lots of enquiries for her. We hope she has lots of happy years in her new home.
