Help us
Volunteer
As with most small charities we are dependent on volunteers to run our service. You can help in many ways from major commitments such as becoming a foster carer, to joining our fundraising committee or hosting a collecting tin in your shop, or lots of other ways.
If you would like to help then please get in touch.
Become a fosterer
Help save a life by fostering a homeless dog. We are in urgent need of foster homes either long term, short term, or emergency fostering. We are looking for people who have lots of love to give and time available to care for a rescue dog whilst they are looking for a forever home.
Fostering is not always easy but it is incredibly rewarding. Some of our dogs have been much loved pets who just need a bit of security until their new home comes along. Some have a more troubled past, however, with love, care, regular walks and a structured routine it won’t be long before they blossom into happy and well balanced dogs.
Foster carers are extremely important to us, and we will be there throughout the entire fostering process to provide you with advice and support, should any problems arise. If you would like to be part of a dog’s happy tale, please consider becoming a foster carer.

Financial support
A one-off donation of money is always welcome and can be sent via bank transfer or through our PayPal account by clicking the button at the top of the screen. If you don’t have a PayPal account you can still use your card, just follow the instructions after you click on the button.
If you want to make a donation in person, then please get in touch with us.
If you would like to make a regular donation then for as little as £1 a week you can make a difference and help us at KWK9 to carry on helping dogs who come in need. Every penny raised makes a difference and as we are run entirely by volunteers everything raised is spent on the dogs in our care and promoting their cause.

Food and other items
Donations of other items are also incredibly useful to us. In particular collars, leads, toys, transporters, dog coats, food (dry or tinned) will help KWK9 continue to provide this service to the people of Caithness. Everything is gratefully received. If you have any of these items or anything else which might help us then please get in touch. We may be able to arrange collection. Unfortunately, at the moment we are unable to take duvets, pillows or blankets.
